MOWAP International Ministries: Ministry of the Word and Prayer
The journey of MOWAP International began with a divine encounter. In August 1991, Bro Ify Onabu gave his life to Christ at Zoe Ministries, Lagos. This moment marked the beginning of a deep and personal relationship with God. From that point, he devoted himself to seeking the Lord and growing in faith. He became actively involved in Christian service, allowing the Holy Spirit to shape his life for God’s purpose.
He is a full member of the Living Faith Church. Bro Ify worships at Winners’ Chapel International Lewisham, London, where he serves in the Prayer Squad and the Soul-Winning Team.
Whilst still engaged in a demanding job as a Housing Specialist, Bro Ify Onabu continued to serve God passionately. Despite the demands of a corporate career, he remained committed to prayer, personal study of the Word, and ministering to others. This period reinforced the importance of balancing faith with daily responsibilities, and it became clear that God was preparing him for greater assignments in His Kingdom.
In 2016, he became the Pastor of Power Hour Fellowship, a work-based Christian gathering in London. This fellowship became a place of divine encounters, where believers experienced the presence of God through prayer, worship, and the teaching of the Word. As the fellowship grew, so did the testimonies of transformed lives. People were drawn closer to God, their faith was strengthened, and they found renewed purpose in Christ.
A significant turning point came when God instructed that the teachings from Power Hour Fellowship be shared with a global audience. This instruction came on a Sunday morning as he was on a church bus that was conveying fellow worshippers to Winners Chapel International, Dartford, for worship. Recognizing the power of digital evangelism, MOWAP International was established as a ministry dedicated to the Word and Prayer.
